The Mission
The mission of Discovery Church is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The Vision
The vision of Discovery Church is create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their lord and savior.
Culture of (BIBLICAL) TRUTH
We are a church built upon the truth of the Bible. The Bible does not merely “contain” truth; it is Truth.
CULTURE OF (UNCOMMON) GRACE
Our church exists to make Jesus known, and we want every individual who visits Discovery to experience the life-changing message of Jesus. You will be encouraged to grow, but not judged for your pace.
CULTURE OF (BIGHEARTED) SACRIFICE
We believe that God wants us to be generous with our time, talents and treasure. As individuals and as the church, it is our privilege to give generously to people in need; serve others inside and outside of our four walls, and use our gifts to build God’s Kingdom.
CULTURE OF (RADICAL) HOSPITALITY
At the heart of Jesus’ message is a radical welcome extended to all people to draw near to God and to one another. We do this corporately through worship gatherings and community groups but it doesn’t stop there. Hospitality is demonstrated where you live, work, and play with your neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends
CULTURE OF (COMMON) PURSUIT
We gather to scatter. We cannot merely exist here for years, making little or no impact in the community, and call ourselves successful followers of Christ. We lock arms together to build God’s Kingdom here in Columbus and around the world!
